Case studies and UX writing examples.
Heavy on words. Light on images. But hopefully plenty of insights.
My UX writing process.
Some of the things I’ve learned about writing in tech after working with some incredibly talented humans.
Confirmation emails.
Working at a startup is often hectic: get the MVP up ASAP and iterate afterwards. The same principle is often applied to the copy. So it’s unsurprising that I get 10 minutes to write a series of confirmation emails.
Announcing new features.
Modals, modals, modals. Valuable information or irritating pop-up? I help launch several new features in Atlassian’s Confluence platform, including its most highly requested feature: Dark theme.
The. Entire. Site.
A dream (but daunting) project: huge task, complete autonomy, and the best designer I ever worked with. What could possibly go wrong? Freeeedommm!
The power of microcopy.
They’re minuscule yet mighty. Small words that can make a big impact. In this case study, I used microcopy and small design changes to 10x email signups.
Designing voice & tone.
I Created a Voice & Tone section in the new brand guidelines, and improved content standards across the organisation to cut editing time by 50% and increase readership by 40%.
